I am back!

Well... I have not really gone anywhere, I have just been very focused on reaching my weight-loss goals. I am happy to say that I have now lost a total of 87 pounds which means only 13 more to go until I reach 100 pounds lost! I am not weighing in this month so I look forward to weighing in on March 1st. I really hope I hit 100 pounds or very close!

A lot has happened since July of last year when I posted. I can't believe it has been that long but it has and I am ready to dive back into blogging my journey.

I have a lot to post about, that is for sure, so please stay tuned!

Purple Day 5k for Epilepsy

On Saturday March 24th I had the opportunity to run in the first Annual Purple Day 5k for Epilepsy. This will go down as one of the most heart warming, memorable races I have ever done. This race was created by some of my most dearest friends, The Green Family: Greg, Angela, Gabe, Marisa, and the inspiration for it all, Natalie. Natalie is 11 years old and was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy when she was 8 months old.   I decided that I wanted to race and support this great cause and my friends to help find a cure for Epilepsy. Purple is the color to support Epilepsy so of course, if you know me, you go big or you go home and so I went big and bought me a purple morph suit that covered my entire body, head to toe in purple awesomeness! Biggest Loser Casting Call- Season 12

Hey everyone! So, last week my friend texted me and asked if I would try out for the Biggest Loser with her. We have been friends for 15 years and I just adore her. She is why I met the man of my dreams, she went to school with McKay and set us up and the rest is HISTORY! She asked, I said yes and now we are getting ready to go show the casting directors why we should be on the Biggest Loser! I honestly think if the casting directors see in us what all of our friends see in us that we would be awesome for the show! A lot of you already know my story and I continue to get messages on facebook, comments on my blog and emails from friends telling me how I have inspired them. I did it!

Yesterday in the mail I got this little gem: It feels amazing that I was able to accomplish so many goals this year! It has been a great year full of learning, growing and new lifelong friendships! Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey, I have such a great group of friends cheering me on, I love you all.
