Week 3 wrap up.

Sorry I have not been posting. I have my little brother staying with us so we have been keeping busy this week.

Monday was a great workout with Laura, we have a huge class of around 18 people now so she had to get creative.

Tuesday our other trainer was out of town so a friend and I met up at the gym and worked out for 45 minutes.

Yesterday we did bootcamp outside on the grass. By the time we were done I have red hives up and down my arms and legs. When I got home I took Benedryl and that knocked me out from 6:30-10:30. It was horrible.

Today our trainer is out of town still so I was going to meet up with my friend again, but she was unable to make it. So, I still got myself over to the gym and worked my butt off for 42 minutes. I ran 10 laps on the indoor track. I ran 10 staircase loops which is up the stairs, down the hall, down the other stairs, down the hall and back up the stairs again, 10 times. After a quick drink I ran up and down one set of stairs 5 times and then to end the workout I went outside and ran 5 laps in the rain. I felt like I got a pretty good workout in for doing it myself, but I think I would still prefer my trainers to be the ones pushing me and kicking my butt. Also, I noticed, it is a lot harder doing it on my own. If you can get a friend to workout with you, do it, time goes by a lot faster and it is nice to have someone there for support.

Tomorrow is the last day of week 3. I look forward to a great workout in the morning and a climb at the gym with friends tomorrow night. Saturday, if the weather is nice I will be joining my relay team group for a trail run early in the morning and then I look forward to some climbing at the gym later with McKay.

My next post will be Sunday for my weigh-in.

Thanks for stopping by!

One hundred miles...

A couple of weeks ago, April 28th 2012, I rode with a group of amazing women in the Front Runner Century bike ride. The ride was a metric century, which ends up being 62 miles. Well, I got it in my head that I wanted to ride a full 100 miles to say goodbye to the 100 pounds that will never be a part of my life again, so when I got home I rode another 38 to complete a full 100 miles in one day. It was an awesome experience to say the least! I also need send a shout out to my friend Kelli for riding another 38 for me too! She is a rockstar and I appreciate her support more than I can ever express. The day started out fabulous with the Triathlete group I am part of. We all rode the train out to SLC together and then once the race started we all ended up splitting up and then reunited at the finish. I had the greatest time riding with one of my closest friends Lori and my new friend Rhiannon. It was such a great feeling to cross the finish line with these two amazing woman! The

Taking a break from the scale!

I want to lose these last 25 pounds so much, especially the next 5 because I will finally hit my 100 goal but I have a mental block going on and so I have decided to step away from the scale for awhile. The scale isn't what this is about anyways. Yes, I have a healthy weight goal that I have set so the scale keeps me on track, but it is all about how I feel. I feel good and I look fabulous and I get compliments everyday and that is what matters most. So I have to tell myself that I have lost  95 POUNDS and the next 25 pounds will come off when my body is ready to let go. I just have to keep working hard, be patient and love life! 95 FLIPPING POUNDS!  That is an entire person! I am so happy about this! I will let you all know when I jump back on that scale, and I expect it will be followed by my "I LOST 100 POUNDS PARTY" ! Keep working hard everyone, you are worth it! Thanks for reading, Jena

Day five: Week one of Boot Camp Complete!

Well, I did it, I completed a full week (5 days) of boot camp at 5:30 am and I survived. I feel so good about the hard work I have put in and I can't wait to start seeing results. I just want to say that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and just do it. No excuses, just get out there and start doing the work. There are some amazing people in our class and it is great to have them to work out with everyday. We all push each other and it is nice to hear their cheers and words of encouragement. Our two trainers are awesome and encourage us to push ourselves beyond what we think we are capable of. I look forward to next week. Even though Monday is a holiday, we are still going in on Monday. We do get to sleep in a little bit, since the gym doesn't open until 7:00 am on Monday due to the holiday. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am looking forward to going climbing at the gym tonight, a nice run in the morning, a break on Sunday, and boot camp and a climb out
